Emburara Farm Lodge is a peaceful place that supports cultural tourism and the protection of nature. It is located in Mbarara City, a fast-growing area along the Mbarara-Ibanda road, just one and a half kilometers from Nyakisharara Airstrip.
This location is good for tourists who want to use air transport. You can fly from Entebbe International Airport or from Kajjansi Airstrip, but always check the flight schedule to see if it fits your travel plan.
Road transport is also a good option, as it gives you more flexibility than flying.
The lodge has over 27 spacious rooms designed with African style. The furniture is made from mahogany wood and matched with rich fabrics to make guests feel warm and welcome.
You can relax at the spa, where trained staff provide treatments to help you feel refreshed both physically and mentally.
You cannot leave Emburara Farm Lodge without tasting the delicious meals served at the on-site restaurant. It offers both local and international dishes to meet the needs of guests from different parts of the world.
The restaurant is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm and serves meals based on your request.
The lodge also has space for different events such as meetings, presentations, and conferences. These areas are designed to give guests privacy and comfort while they enjoy the natural surroundings.
Some visitors enjoy going to nearby local communities where the people value long-horned cattle. These cattle are very important to the Ankole people. In the past, they were kept by royals who were believed to have special powers. Today, the cattle still show wealth and pride.
If you want to join the locals in milking or cooking, the tour guide will go with you and help out. Remember to ask for permission before taking pictures of the people, and carry a permit if you plan to take videos or professional photos. If you don’t have the required permit, the park authorities may take your camera until you leave.
Emburara Farm Lodge is a natural and welcoming place that opens its doors to visitors from all over the world.
