Detailed 3-Day Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park & Evening Game Drive
Your guide will pick you up from either Entebbe or Kampala and drive you southwest to Lake Mburo National Park. The park has several lakes, but Lake Mburo is the best for boat cruises and bird watching.
On the way, stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe to take photos and enjoy the experience. Afterward, continue to the park and check in at your lodge. In the evening, go for a short game drive.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari
Start your day with a morning game drive that lasts about two hours. You may see animals such as impalas, zebras, warthogs, spotted hyenas, jackals, bushbucks, elands, and others.
You will also spot birds like the African finfoot, saddle-billed stork, brown-chested wattled plover, Carruthers’s cisticola, Tabora cisticola, and many more.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. You may see hippos, crocodiles, and many birds near the water.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Kampala. On the way, stop again at the equator in Kayabwe for more photos or to buy souvenirs.
