This 10-day trip takes you across Uganda to see animals in the Savannah and forests. You will visit famous places like Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth Park, Lake Bunyonyi, and Lake Mburo.
You will also meet mountain gorillas and chimpanzees in their natural homes. The tour starts and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.
Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls & See Rhinos
Leave Kampala or Entebbe and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see rhinos. Have lunch in Masindi, then drive to the park. Visit the top of the waterfalls and continue to your lodge.
Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Safari in Murchison Falls
Go for an early morning game drive in the northern part of the park. You may see lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and many birds. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on the Nile River to see hippos, crocodiles, and more birds.
Day 3: Travel to Kibale Forest
Drive from Murchison to Kibale Forest. You will pass Hoima and Fort Portal, where you will stop for lunch. On the way, you may see crater lakes. Continue to your lodge near Kibale National Park.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
After breakfast, go for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. A guide will take you into the forest to find chimps. The walk takes 2 to 4 hours. You will spend one hour watching the chimps. Later, you can visit Bigodi wetland or drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Ride in Queen Elizabeth Park
Go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi area. You might see lions, elephants, hyenas, and antelopes. After lunch at the lodge, take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and many birds.
Day 6: Drive to Bwindi via Ishasha
Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way, pass through the Ishasha area, where tree-climbing lions live. Continue to your lodge near Bwindi forest.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Have an early breakfast, then go for gorilla trekking. You will be grouped and guided into the forest to find a gorilla family. The trek takes 2 to 6 hours. You will spend one hour watching the gorillas. Later, visit a local Batwa community.
Day 8: Relax at Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Have lunch at your lodge and enjoy a boat ride to one of the islands. You can relax or swim in the lake—it has no crocodiles or hippos.
Day 9: Boat Trip & Travel to Lake Mburo
In the morning, take a short boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi. After that, drive to Lake Mburo National Park. This park has many impalas and other animals. If you want, you can go for a night game drive to see animals that come out at night.
Day 10: Drive Back & Departure
After breakfast, check out and stop at the Equator for pictures. Have lunch, then continue to Kampala or Entebbe. Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
